"Andrew Garfield on my flight. If the plane went down it would've said Andrew Garfield and others," Thiele wrote on Instagram.

Owen Thiele went on a side quest fitting for his Adults character. Thiele, who plays Anton on the FX sitcom, was on his way back to New York City when his Delta flight was diverted to Albuquerque for an emergency landing. Lucky for us, the 29-year-old actor live-documented the entire saga on Instagram.

In a series of Instagram stories shared on Wednesday, the Adults star posted photos and accompanying captions as his impromptu New Mexico trip unfolded. Among Thiele's early realizations was that he, Andrew Garfield and Nick Robinson were on the same flight together.

"Andrew Garfield on my flight. If the plane went down it would've said Andrew Garfield and others," Thiele wrote, adding, "Nick Robinson here too. Andrew Garfield, Nick Robinson and others."

Thiele also said that Delta offered to get him a room at Hotel Zazz despite telling "a straight man they could get him a room at The Imperial."

"They called me gay and they trapped me in Albuquerque," he wrote. "New plane coming to save us we might have to sleep in the airport tho."

Thankfully, Thiele wasn't the only passenger stranded in Albuquerque. While at the airport, Thiele made some friends who seemed to resemble Adults co-stars Lucy Freyer, who plays Billie, and Jack Innanen, who plays Paul Baker.

Thiele wrote: "Wait… I found… Billie? Paul Baker?"

After grabbing some drinks at the airport, Thiele and his Adults-inspired crew decided to embark on another side quest: going to Dave & Buster's.

"I'm in the back of a car going to Dave and Busters with 9 people I've never met before," Thiele wrote before sharing a photo of the car ride there, followed by his game-winning score on Super Shot, a D&B staple. After learning from Delta that the "flight is now smaller and we might not have seats," Thiele and his clique headed back to the airport, through security and to PF Chang's, where they were ultimately given "the wrong food."

But the saga didn't exactly end there. After boarding their new Delta flight, Thiele revealed the plane still hadn't taken off after an hour of sitting on the tarmac.

"They're telling us we're too heavy u guys I'm not kidding I've never heard of that in my life," he wrote. "They're adding sandbags to balance out the weight ?? Won't we like  sink??"

Four hours later, Thiele finally touched down in New York City.

"thank u for following along lol i love my new friends we're all in a group chat," he wrote. He followed it up with a video, adding, "should we do it again tomorrow?"
