Lili Reinhart joined the burgeoning fashion trend of celebrities wearing vintage early aughts and '90s runway looks with her Elie Saab look at the New York City "The Love Hypothesis" premiere held at The Forum at Columbia University on Wednesday night.
The actress, who's been on a streak of paying homage to romance films during her "Love Hypothesis" press tour, opted this time for sartorial whimsy in her romantic pink and green gown. The dress hailed from the Lebanese designer's spring 2004 couture collection and featured botanical elements aplenty.

The light pink base fabric acted as a canvas for the green leaves and florals strewn all over the chiffon material of the vintage design. Crafted with a corseted bodice and sweetheart neckline with a flowing skirt and dramatic train, the dress wholly evoked a fanciful, tender aesthetic.
Reinhart's vintage Elie Saab moment comes at a time when several high-profile stars are turning back the clock and looking to the runway from the early aughts and '90s for their red carpet and project promotional tour stints.
Among the most famous to sport the trend, Zendaya kicked off her "The Odyssey" press tour in an Alberta Ferretti minidress from the spring 2008 collection, which brought together Y2K trends with her Grecian style and goddess inspiration for the press tour.

Juno Temple soon followed suit with her early aughts Gucci dress from the spring 2003 collection, which was also worn in a chocolate brown shade by Jennifer Lopez at the premiere of "Gigli" in July 2003.

With the resurgence of Y2K fashion, celebrities have taken a distinctly unique approach to the trends. It's not ballet flats or low-rise jeans the stars are bringing to the red carpet or their promotional tours. Instead, they're turning to the couture and ready-to-wear collections from past decades to stay on-trend while still remaining fashionable enough for contemporary standards.

"The Love Hypothesis" follows Olive and Adam, played by Reinhart and Tom Bateman, who, after sharing a fake kiss, find themselves in a faux relationship and test their theories on love and romance. The film arrives Sept. 23 on Prime Video.
